they hire their quality profiles with muzzo
how do you hire a validation engineer through a recruitment agency?

A validation engineer proves what a piece of equipment or a process actually does, protocol in hand. Muzzo gives your role to the headhunters who place the most people in GMP qualification and validation, in pharma, biotech and medtech. Fee of 5 to 30%, paid on hire. Leaves within 3 months: we restart the search free.
how it works
you only pay if you hire

01
you describe the role
Using the form above: the role, your company, the scope to qualify or validate. The rest is scoped in your first conversation with the Muzzo team.

02
our data chooses the headhunters
Our AI picks those who have hired the most validation engineers, from more than 2,500 selected headhunters.

03
you meet the best profiles
Approached and qualified by headhunters who are experts in pharma, biotech and medtech. You choose who you meet.

04
you hire, then you pay
Not before. If your new hire leaves within 3 months, we restart the search at no cost.

let's talk about your role
Antoine and the Muzzo team help you scope your role and choose the right headhunters. Describe your role in the form: we'll call you back to discuss it.

one last question?
With Muzzo, you set the fee, between 5 and 30%, and you only pay it on hire: no deposit, no fixed fees. A validation technician on the ground and a head of validation covering an entire site don't take the same search. The fee follows that difficulty, and the Muzzo team helps you set it.
You have a double guarantee. If your new hire leaves within 3 months, for example because the real scope of the validations differs from the brief, we restart the search at no cost. If we find no replacement within 4 months, we refund 50% of the fees. On average, 94% of Muzzo hires are still in post after 3 months.

the reality
a validation engineer proves, they don't assume
a protocol is documented, not told
Qualifying equipment, validating processes, cleaning or computerised systems: every step has to be proven in writing. A pharma headhunter knows how to spot who actually wrote these protocols.
qualification and validation aren't general quality
IQ, OQ, PQ, Annex 11, GAMP 5: this precise vocabulary sets the validation engineer apart from a standard industrial quality role. The headhunter starts from this scope, not just the job title.
a hiring mistake halts a production line
A poorly run validation protocol delays a production start or an inspection. The headhunter checks the validations actually carried out before introducing anyone.
the roles
the validation profiles our headhunters go after for you
From qualifying a piece of equipment to validating a computerised system, each search goes to a headhunter who has already hired that profile.
equipment qualification engineer
They write and run the IQ, OQ and PQ protocols for a new piece of equipment before it goes into production.
process validation engineer
They prove that a manufacturing process always produces the same result, within limits set in advance.
cleaning validation engineer
They demonstrate that a line is properly cleaned between two production runs, a point often checked during inspection.
computerised systems validation engineer
They apply Annex 11 and the GAMP 5 framework to the software that drives production or traceability.
senior validation engineer or head of validation
They plan all of a site's validations and represent this scope in front of inspectors.
validation technician
They run the protocols on the ground, under a validation engineer's supervision.
the method
a headhunter who knows GMP validation, not an agency that does everything
Qualifying a piece of equipment and validating a computerised system are two different jobs. So the method starts from what has to be proven.
we define what has to be qualified or validated
Equipment, process, cleaning or computerised system: the brief starts from the real scope, not just the job title.
a headhunter who places validation engineers
From more than 2,500 selected headhunters, your role goes to those who place the most people in qualification and validation.
real protocols checked before the interview
The headhunter asks the profile to describe an IQ, OQ or PQ protocol they actually ran, and cross-checks this experience with references.

hiring a validation engineer: what you need to know

A validation engineer doesn't describe a piece of equipment, they prove it works as intended, protocol in hand. Good profiles are already in post, busy preparing a qualification or an inspection, and don't answer job ads.
A pharma headhunter knows how to approach them and ask the right questions: which equipment, which process, which framework. They start from the protocol to be produced, not just the job title.

equipment qualification, process validation or cleaning validation: which engineer should you hire?
read onEquipment qualification (IQ, OQ, PQ) proves that a machine is installed and works correctly. Process validation proves that a manufacturing run always produces the same result. Cleaning validation proves there's no residue between two production runs.
The same engineer can cover all three depending on the size of the site, but the brief has to state which one takes priority: each protocol follows its own method.
validation engineer or quality engineer: what's the difference?
A quality engineer guarantees the general compliance of a product or a line, day to day. A validation engineer produces documented proof, at a given moment, that a piece of equipment or a process does what it's supposed to do.
The two roles work together, but aren't hired on the same skills: for general industrial quality, see our quality engineer page.

Validating software that drives production or traceability follows a separate framework, Annex 11 of good manufacturing practice and the GAMP 5 guide. This profile combines IT with regulatory compliance.
An engineer who validates physical equipment doesn't automatically master these methods. Spell out this need separately in the brief if your project involves a new computerised system.

The CV lists acronyms: IQ, OQ, PQ, Annex 11. The interview has to show something else: the ability to write a complete protocol and justify a decision when a result falls outside the set limits.
Ask for a real example: a deviation spotted during validation, the cause found, the decision taken next. The headhunter runs this first test and checks the protocols actually carried out with references.
your questions about hiring a validation engineer
According to Apec, managers in instrumentation and testing, the family that covers validation integration engineers, earn a median of €49k gross a year (2025 edition). In industry, the median rises to €53k, against €49k for the family as a whole.
According to Leem, France has 283 facilities authorised by the ANSM for medicine production (data as of 31 December 2025), including 80 dedicated solely to contract manufacturing. Each one has to get its equipment, processes and computerised systems validated before any production.
If the need is to prove, at a given moment, that a piece of equipment or a process works as intended, choose a validation engineer. To guarantee a line's general day-to-day compliance, see our quality engineer page instead.
The methods are similar, IQ, OQ, PQ and Annex 11, but the products and the inspections differ. Our headhunters choose a profile already used to your type of site, pharma, biotech or medtech, not just the validation vocabulary.
