how do you hire a manager in the Haute-Vienne through a recruitment agency?

Beyond Limoges, already covered on its own city page, the Haute-Vienne has more rural areas: Saint-Junien's glove-making and the ceramics industry born from Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche's kaolin. Muzzo hands your role to the headhunter with the most placements in that field, wherever they are in the department. You set the fee, from 5 to 30%, paid on hire.

one last question?

With Muzzo, you set the fee for each role, between 5 and 30%, and you only pay it once you hire. No retainer, no fixed fees. The fee follows the difficulty of the role and the area concerned, and the Muzzo team helps you set it.

You have a double guarantee. If your new hire leaves within 3 months, we restart the search at no cost. If we don't find a replacement within 4 months, we refund 50% of the fees. On average, 94% of Muzzo hires are still in post after 3 months.

the reality

beyond Limoges, two well-defined rural areas

01

areas smaller than Limoges's

Saint-Junien, birthplace of glove-making, and Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche, where kaolin was discovered in the 18th century, form the department's three other employment areas along with Bellac. A smaller market, where every profile counts.

02

hiring is harder there than in Limoges

70.3% of hiring plans in the Saint-Yrieix employment area are rated difficult by employers in 2026, against 48.1% in Limoges. The talent pool is smaller, and convincing someone to relocate is often needed.

03

rare industrial know-how, not always visible

Saint-Junien's luxury glove-making supplies houses such as Dior, Hermès and Lanvin, but stays a niche trade that few schools teach. A headhunter needs to already know this sector to hire fast.

the roles

the profiles our headhunters find for you in the Haute-Vienne

From Saint-Junien's glove-making to Saint-Yrieix's ceramics, each role goes to a headhunter who knows that field.

  1. site and industrial leadership

Plant director, site director, production director. The headhunter approaches executives in post, discreetly, in Limoges as much as in the department's rural areas.

  2. glove-making and leatherwork

Tanner, glove maker, leather-goods production manager. A trade concentrated in Saint-Junien, where three factories still produce close to 1.5 million pairs of gloves a year.

  3. ceramics, materials and kaolin

Ceramics engineer, quarry technician, materials quality manager. Since kaolin was discovered in Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche in the 18th century, this know-how has shaped the department's whole porcelain industry.

  4. maintenance and industrial production

Maintenance manager, industrial technician, production manager. Without them, the department's factory production lines stop.

  5. export sales and key account manager

They sell the department's output in France and abroad, from tableware to luxury gloves.

  6. finance and financial control

CFO, financial controller. They track the accounts and production costs of the department's manufacturers, from Limoges to the rural areas.

hiring in the Haute-Vienne: what you need to know

why does hiring work differently outside Limoges?

Limoges concentrates most of the department's activity, but the Haute-Vienne has three other employment areas tracked by France Travail: Saint-Yrieix, Saint-Junien and Bellac. Hiring there follows different rules, with a smaller talent pool.

According to France Travail, 10,690 hiring plans are forecast for 2026 in the department, 52.1% rated difficult by employers. That rate climbs to 70.3% in the Saint-Yrieix area and falls back to 44.8% in Saint-Junien.

what is Saint-Junien's glove-making industry?

As early as the 11th century, craftspeople in Saint-Junien were cutting gloves from hides they tanned themselves, thanks to the quality of the Vienne river's water. The trade peaked in 1927 with forty factories and more than a thousand workers.

Three factories today employ around a hundred people and produce close to 1.5 million pairs of gloves a year, more than a quarter of them exported, for houses such as Dior, Hermès and Lanvin. A rare skill, still taught by very few schools.

how did Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche's kaolin shape the department?

Between 1765 and 1770, Jean-Baptiste Darnet identified a highly pure kaolin deposit in Saint-Yrieix-la-Perche. From 1769, dozens of quarries opened, including the renowned Marcognac, and a porcelain factory was set up in 1774 nearby at La Seynie.

This discovery is behind the entire porcelain and ceramics industry that built Limoges's reputation. Today, the Saint-Yrieix area still carries this industrial legacy, with a smaller job market than the prefecture's.

how do you choose a recruitment agency in the Haute-Vienne?

A glove maker in Saint-Junien, a ceramics engineer in Saint-Yrieix and a manager at a Limoges headquarters aren't hired with the same network or the same pitch. Check that the agency has already placed candidates in your specific field, in your area.

Muzzo hands each role, from more than 2,500 selected headhunters, to whichever one gets the best results in that field, whether based in the Haute-Vienne or elsewhere in France.

how much does a recruitment agency cost in the Haute-Vienne?

Agencies in the department most often charge a percentage of annual gross salary, sometimes with a retainer at launch. A rare technical profile, a glove maker or a ceramicist, often costs more to fill than an administrative role.

With Muzzo, the fee is set between 5 and 30% based on the priority of the role, and it's only due on hire: no retainer, no fixed fees.

how do our headhunters hire in the Haute-Vienne?

The headhunter assigned to your role knows the relevant area, Limoges, Saint-Junien, Saint-Yrieix or Bellac, and the companies already hiring there in that field. They approach profiles already in post directly.

Allow 26 days on average between the brief and the signature of a Muzzo hire in the Haute-Vienne. If your new hire leaves within 3 months, the search restarts at no cost.

your questions about hiring in the Haute-Vienne

Yes, markedly. The Saint-Yrieix area shows 70.3% of plans rated difficult in 2026, against 48.1% in Limoges and 44.8% in Saint-Junien (France Travail, BMO 2026). The more rural the area, the smaller the talent pool.

Yes. Saint-Junien stays a hub for luxury glove-making, with three factories producing close to 1.5 million pairs a year for houses such as Dior, Hermès and Lanvin. These profiles are rare, and we hand this type of role to headhunters who already know the sector.

Because kaolin was discovered there between 1765 and 1770 by Jean-Baptiste Darnet, giving rise to the department's entire ceramics industry. Today, the area stays industrial but more rural, with a smaller job market than Limoges's.
