they hire their engineering profiles with muzzo
how do you hire an RF engineer through a recruitment agency?
An RF engineer designs the circuits and antennas that transmit and receive a radio signal for 5G, radar or satellite. Muzzo gives your role to the headhunters who place this rare profile: they verify validated measurements. Fee of 5 to 30%, paid on hire. Leaves within 3 months: we restart the search free.
how it works
you only pay if you hire

01
you describe the role
Using the form above: the role, your company, the frequency band and application. The rest is framed in your first chat with the Muzzo team.

02
our data chooses the headhunters
AI picks those who have placed the most RF engineers, among more than 2 500 selected headhunters.

03
you meet the best profiles
Approached and qualified by expert headhunters in the field. You choose who you see.

04
you hire, then you pay
Not before. If the hire leaves their role within 3 months, we restart the search free.

Muzzo's strength is the diversity of its recruiters: there is always someone listening to our needs.
With Muzzo, I get the reactivity of a marketplace and the quality of a search firm.

let's talk about your hire
Antoine and the Muzzo team help you frame your role and pick the right headhunters. Describe your role in the form: we'll call you back to discuss.

one more question?
With Muzzo, you set the fee from 5 to 30%, and you only pay it on hire: no upfront costs, no setup fees. A junior engineer documenting circuits and an R&D manager balancing an entire radar system don't ask for the same search. The fee follows this rarity, and the Muzzo team helps you set it.
You have double protection. If the hire leaves within 3 months (for example, because the real scope doesn't match the brief), we restart the search free. With no replacement found within 4 months, we refund 50% of your fee. On average, 94% of Muzzo hires are still in place after 3 months.

the reality
an RF engineer is judged by their validated measurements, not their CV
a rare profile, never on job boards
They are busy with a measurement campaign or tuning a transmit-receive chain, often on a confidential project. A specialist headhunter in engineering knows how to approach them.
antennas, amplifiers, radar or satellite: the same title covers different realities
An antenna engineer doesn't design an amplification chain. A radar profile doesn't always master a satellite link's constraints. The headhunter starts from your frequency band and your application, not the job title.
a design error is discovered in measurement, and it's costly
A badly calculated link budget or a poorly matched antenna shows up late, sometimes after fabrication. The headhunter verifies validated measurements before introducing you to someone.
the roles
the RF engineer profiles our headhunters will find for you
From antenna design to measurements in an anechoic chamber, each search goes to a headhunter who has already placed this profile.
RF design engineer
They design transmit and receive circuits, including amplifiers and filters. The most sought profile in the speciality.
antenna engineer
They size and simulate antennas, often under size or radiation constraints imposed by the product.
microwave measurement engineer
They validate circuits and antennas in the lab, in an anechoic chamber or on a test bench, before production rollout.
junior RF engineer
They design under supervision and document circuits, often after an engineering degree in telecommunications.
RF and microwave R&D manager
They lead the design team and balance range, power consumption and cost of the radio system.
the method
a headhunter of radio frequency, not a catch-all agency
RF design is judged by the measurements that validate the system. The method starts from what the role needs to make work.
we define the frequency band and the application
5G, radar, satellite, defence or space confidentiality constraints: the brief describes the real application, not just the job title.

validated measurements, really
The headhunter asks for a project carried through to measurements, the equipment used and what the test campaign changed in the design. Then they cross-check in reference calls.

hiring an RF engineer: what you need to know
why entrust RF engineer recruitment to a headhunter?
The RF engineer designs the circuits and antennas that transmit and receive a radio or microwave signal for defence, space or telecoms. This is a rare profile, currently employed and busy with a measurement campaign, who will never respond to generic job postings.
A specialist headhunter knows how to approach them and ask the right questions: what frequency band, what application, what level of confidentiality. This page covers the RF engineer role itself; for general electronics, see our electronics engineer page.

antennas, amplifiers or measurements: which RF engineer to hire?
An antenna engineer sizes and simulates the shape that radiates the signal. An RF design engineer works on transmit and receive circuits, amplifiers and filters included. A microwave measurement engineer validates these designs in the lab, often in an anechoic chamber.
On the same project, these three profiles work at different stages. Specify in the brief which of the three scopes is sought, and at what stage of the project.

how do you evaluate an RF engineer in interview?
The CV lists frequency bands and electromagnetic simulation tools. The interview must show something else: the ability to explain a link budget or a gap between simulation and real measurement.
A practical case works well: a link budget to recalculate, a size constraint added at the last minute, and twenty minutes to explain the trade-off. The headhunter does this first filter before introducing you to someone, and verifies in reference calls the measurements claimed.
5G, radar or satellite: what changes for the role?
In telecoms and 5G, the design pace is fast and production volumes are high. In radar and space, reliability and confidentiality requirements are stricter, sometimes with a security clearance required. An engineer from a regulated sector generally adapts well to a faster sector; the reverse is less true.
The brief must set this context before launching the search: it filters some profiles before even the interview.
which sector employs the most RF engineers?
According to Apec, managers in electrical and electronic engineering, a family that explicitly lists the radio engineer role, earn a median of €53k in automotive, aeronautics and other transport equipment, against €51k in industry (2025 edition): two close sectors that employ RF profiles for different applications (avionics, radar, embedded industrial systems).
Line-management responsibility also weighs on salary: €49k median without leading a team, according to the same source. The sample of managers who lead a team in this family is too small to give a reliable median.
your questions on RF engineer recruitment
Apec does not publish a family specific to radio frequency, but the closest family, electrical and electronic engineering (which explicitly lists the radio engineer role), shows a gap by sector: €53k median in automotive, aeronautics and other transport equipment, against €51k in industry (2025 edition).
Managers without line-management responsibility in this family earn €49k median, according to Apec. The sample of those who lead a team is too small to give a reliable figure (2025 edition): specify instead the team size in the brief; it changes the profile sought.
An antenna engineer sizes the shape that radiates the signal. An RF design engineer works on transmit and receive circuits. A microwave measurement engineer validates these designs in the lab. Specify in the brief which of the three scopes is sought.
The headhunter asks for a project actually carried through to measurements: the equipment used, a gap between simulation and real measurement and how it was fixed. They cross-check in reference calls. You meet profiles whose results are verified, not just claimed.
