one last question?

You set the fee for each role, between 5 and 30%. You only pay it once the technician is hired. No fixed fees, no deposit. If you don't hire, you pay nothing. The Muzzo team helps you choose the right amount.

You have a double guarantee. If your new hire leaves within 3 months, we restart the search at no cost. If we don't find a replacement within 4 months, we refund 50% of the fees. On average, 94% of new hires are still in post after 3 months.

Click “get started” and describe your role in two steps. The Muzzo team gets back to you to refine the need. Then the headhunters who place the most technicians get to work. Launching is free, with no exclusivity.

the reality

a good maintenance technician doesn't answer job ads

01

they're on a call-out, not on a job board

An electromechanical technician who knows their machines already has a job, often on-call duty, and little time to look. A headhunter calls them directly and presents your role.

02

every piece of equipment needs its own skills

Industrial electrics, hydraulics, refrigeration and air conditioning, low voltage: technicians aren't interchangeable. The headhunter checks which equipment they have actually repaired, not just their diploma.

03

field service is a job of its own

A field technician spends their days at your clients' sites, alone, with a van and a territory. They must know how to repair, explain and reassure. Finding this profile means asking precise questions about the territory and the travel involved.

the roles

the maintenance and field service profiles our headhunters go after for you

From the shop floor to on-site call-outs, each role goes to a headhunter who has already filled that role.

  1. industrial maintenance technician

They keep production lines running: troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, machine improvements. Often on shifts or on call.

  2. industrial electrician

Control panels, wiring, commissioning: they work on the electrics of machines and industrial buildings.

  7. after-sales manager and maintenance manager

They organise call-outs, manage the team of technicians, the parts and the client relationship. We look for someone who has already led a field team.

the method

a headhunter who knows the field, not one firm for everything

We have tracked every headhunter since November 2020, on three criteria: how many hires they make, the quality of their profiles, their speed.

01

you describe the role

You fill in the form, then we talk it through: the equipment, the site or territory, shifts and on-call duty, the salary. You set the fee, between 5 and 30%.

02

we choose the headhunters

From more than 2,500 selected headhunters, we keep those who place the most technicians in your region.

03

you meet vetted technicians

The headhunters approach technicians and check their experience on your equipment. You receive few CVs, but profiles that match.

04

you only pay if you hire

Nothing to pay upfront. No fixed fees, no deposit.

hiring in maintenance and field service: what you need to know

why use a maintenance and field service recruitment agency?

According to Dares, the French labour ministry's statistics office, hiring pressure eased across all fields in 2024 but stayed very high in maintenance. Nineteen of the thirty most strained occupations in France are in industry, mostly skilled workers and technicians in maintenance, mechanics and electronics.

As a result, a good maintenance technician is already employed, often with shift or on-call allowances. They do not read job ads. A maintenance and field service recruitment agency approaches them directly, with a role close to home and an offer that accounts for those allowances.

why use a maintenance and field service recruitment agency?

maintenance technician, electromechanical technician, field service technician: which profile?

An industrial maintenance technician works on production lines, on preventive and breakdown work. An electromechanical technician repairs the mechanical and electrical parts of machines. A field service technician visits your customers across a territory, often with a company van.

In the brief, state the equipment (PLCs, hydraulics, refrigeration, HVAC), the schedule (day shift, two or three shifts, on-call) and the area covered. Those three points decide the profile far more than the job title.

maintenance technician, electromechanical technician, field service technician: which profile?

electrical clearance: what the headhunter checks

Maintenance roles in France almost always require an electrical clearance (habilitation électrique). According to INRS, France's occupational safety institute, the employer grants it, based on the NF C 18-510 and NF C 18-550 standards, after suitable training and a medical check. Refresher training is advised every three years.

So the headhunter checks the clearance level already held, the training completed and the equipment actually worked on. A technician already trained on your type of machine is productive sooner and saves you weeks of training.

hiring maintenance technicians near your sites

Maintenance technicians often choose a job close to home, especially on shift patterns. So the headhunter searches the local labour market around your site: the Seine valley around Le Havre, the Lyon and Saint-Étienne area, greater Lille, Alsace around Strasbourg.

For a field role it is the reverse: the right person lives in the middle of the territory to cover. Several technicians to hire across several sites? Several headhunters work at the same time, each on their own area.

how much does it cost to hire a maintenance technician with Muzzo?

Most agencies charge a percentage of the new hire's gross annual salary, sometimes with a deposit when the search starts. With Muzzo, you set the fee, between 5 and 30%, and you only pay it on hire. No deposit, no fixed fees, and getting started is free, with no exclusivity.

If the new hire leaves within 3 months, we restart the search at no cost. If no replacement is found within 4 months, we refund 50% of the fee. On average, a Muzzo hire is signed in 26 days, from brief to signature.

your questions about hiring in maintenance and field service

On average, a Muzzo hire takes 26 days, across all roles, over the last 12 months. For a technician, the timing depends mostly on the region, the equipment and the working hours. The Muzzo team gives you an estimate from your first conversation.

Yes. We choose the headhunters by role and by area. A field technician must live close to their territory: the headhunter checks this on the first call, along with travel and nights away.

These are common in maintenance. Say so from the start: the headhunter discusses it openly with each technician, and only introduces those who accept that pace.

Yes. When you open a new site or a new territory, each role can go to its own headhunter. The searches move forward in parallel and you follow everything in one place.
