one last question?
You set the fee for each role, between 5 and 30%. You only pay it once the person is hired. No fixed fees, no deposit. If you don't hire, you pay nothing. The Muzzo team helps you choose the right amount.
You have a double guarantee. If your new hire leaves within 3 months, we restart the search at no cost. If we don't find a replacement within 4 months, we refund 50% of the fees. On average, 94% of new hires are still in post after 3 months.
Click “get started” and describe your role in two steps. The Muzzo team gets back to you to refine what you need. Then the headhunters who make the most placements in that field get to work. Launching is free, with no exclusivity.

the reality
in transport, an empty role leaves vehicles idle
a good operations manager is already running a fleet
They manage routes, drivers and the unexpected. They have no time to read job ads. A headhunter knows them and calls at the right moment.
road, sea, air, rail: different rules
A road freight broker, a marine superintendent and a passenger network operations manager don't speak the same language. At Muzzo, each role goes to the headhunter who knows that job.
regulation leaves no margin
Driving hours, safety, maritime or aviation certifications: a hiring mistake costs you penalties or lost contracts. The headhunter checks real experience before presenting a profile.
the roles
the transport profiles our headhunters find for you
Already 47 hires signed for 21 companies in transport and logistics. Each role goes to a headhunter who knows that job.
freight broker and transport planner
The freight broker finds the right carrier at the right price for each load. We have already filled this role for a road freight platform.
already hired in transport
domestic and international transport sales executive
They sell transport services to shippers and know the constraints of each mode. A good transport sales executive talks price, lead times and customs.
already hired in transport
sales director
They build the sales team and sign the key accounts. At a courier or a freight forwarder, they are the ones who fill the trucks.
already hired in transport
operations manager and branch manager
They run a branch: planning, drivers, equipment, profitability. This is the role that makes sure promises to customers are kept.
marine superintendent and fleet engineer
They manage a ship owner's fleet: safety, maintenance, compliance, crews. Very rare people, who have to be found one by one.
already hired in transport
customer service manager
They answer passengers or shippers when a journey or a delivery goes wrong. In transport, they are the ones who keep the customer.
already hired in transport
fleet maintenance manager
Vehicles, trains, aircraft or ships: they keep the equipment available and compliant. A vehicle off the road earns nothing.
developer and head of information systems
Booking, real-time tracking, operations tools: mobility operators need a real tech team. We have recruited mobile and backend developers for a shared mobility operator.

hiring in transport: what you need to know
why use a specialist transport recruitment agency
The first thing a transport recruitment agency must know is that every mode has its own rules. Road, rail, sea, air, urban networks: the jobs, the certifications and the professional networks are not the same. Hiring a road freight broker and hiring a marine superintendent are two different searches.
The sector is large. According to the 2025 report of the OPTL, the jobs observatory of the French transport and logistics industry, the road transport and related activities sector employed 811,169 people on 31 December 2024, up 0.6% over a year. Experienced operations managers and supervisors are in high demand.

hiring an operations manager, a freight broker or a transport branch manager
The operations manager plans the routes, assigns drivers and vehicles, and handles the unexpected. The freight broker finds the right carrier at the right price for each load. The branch manager is accountable for a whole site: planning, equipment, team, customers.
What to check: the type of transport (full truckload, parcels, refrigerated, international), the size of the fleet managed, the number of drivers supervised and the operations software used. The headhunter asks these questions before presenting anyone to you.

operator licence, driver CPC training: the rules to know
As the French transport ministry points out, a road haulage company must appoint a transport manager who holds the certificate of professional competence. It is a condition for operating at all. When that transport manager leaves, replacing them becomes urgent.
Drivers of goods vehicles over 3.5 tonnes and of coaches with more than 8 passenger seats obtain an initial qualification (a professional driving diploma or the 140-hour FIMO course), then complete 35 hours of periodic training, the FCO, every five years. An operations manager must have a firm grasp of these obligations, as well as the driving and rest time rules.
maritime, aviation, rail: niche searches
Away from the road, profiles are even rarer. A marine superintendent or a fleet engineer manages the safety, maintenance and compliance of a fleet of ships under the rules of the International Maritime Organization. Muzzo has already filled this role for a shipowner.
In aviation and rail, technical management roles require qualifications specific to each mode. These people know each other and rarely change employer: only a direct approach, by a headhunter who knows that world, can reach them.
collective agreement and pay in road transport
The French national collective agreement for road transport and related activities (IDCC 16) covers freight transport, passenger transport, removals, freight forwarding and part of logistics. It sets the job grades and pay scales for operations managers, freight brokers and supervisors.
For a management role, pay is often negotiated above the scale. From the first conversation, the headhunter tells you what the market expects for this role and this region, so your offer is not turned down at the last stage.
transport recruitment agency or a network of headhunters?
A specialist transport agency saves you time: it runs the search, the approaches and the first interviews. But it gives your role to its own consultants, whatever the job.
With Muzzo, your role goes to the headhunters who make the most placements for that exact job, chosen from more than 2,500 selected headhunters. You only pay on hire. If your new hire leaves within 3 months, the search restarts at no cost; if no replacement is found within 4 months, 50% of the fees are refunded.
your questions about hiring in transport
Yes: road, sea, air, rail and urban transport. Our clients in the sector range from freight platforms to ship owners, including mobility operators. Each role goes to the headhunter who knows that mode and that job.
Transport covers fleet operations, freight brokerage, passenger transport and maritime or aviation roles. Logistics covers warehousing, order picking and the supply chain. If your role spans both, we choose a headhunter who knows both.
Muzzo is built for the roles where a headhunter makes the difference: operations, freight brokerage, sales, management, technical expertise. If you need drivers in volume, raise it with the Muzzo team in your first conversation: they will tell you honestly what is realistic.
The headhunter checks qualifications and certificates before presenting a profile: the certificate of professional competence for a transport manager, knowledge of driver training obligations for an operations manager, maritime or aviation certifications depending on the role. You see fewer profiles, and every one has been checked.
Yes. The headhunter first targets people who hold the certificate of professional competence, without which nobody can be appointed transport manager. On average, a Muzzo hire takes 26 days, from brief to signature. You then need to allow for the new hire's notice period.
