they hire their software teams with muzzo
how do you hire for a SaaS company through a recruitment agency?
In a SaaS company, an SDR is judged on meetings booked, an account executive on quota, a customer success manager on renewal rate. Muzzo gives each of these roles, product manager included, to the headhunters with the most hires in that field. Fee of 5 to 30%, paid on hire. Leaves within 3 months: we restart the search free.

let's talk about your role
Antoine and the Muzzo team help you scope your role and choose the right headhunters. Describe your role in the form: we'll call you back to discuss it.

one last question?
You set the fee for each role, between 5 and 30%, and you only pay it on hire. No deposit, no fixed fees. A junior SDR and a head of sales who has to build the whole sales team do not call for the same search effort: the fee follows that difference, and the Muzzo team helps you set it.
You get a double guarantee. If your new hire leaves within 3 months, for example because the sales cycle or target customers were not what was planned, we restart the search at no cost. If no replacement is found within 4 months, we refund 50% of the fees. On average, 94% of Muzzo hires are still in post after 3 months.
our software headhunters are ready to start
A hire signed in under 26 days. You only pay when you hire.
the reality
a SaaS company never hires for just one role
SDR, account executive, CSM: three searches
Prospecting, closing and renewing call for different people. Each role goes to the headhunter who already hires for it in software.
your first salesperson is not your tenth
A software company's first account executive sells without a playbook. A scale-up's follows an established process. The headhunter looks for the right stage, not just the right title.
in SaaS, results can be checked
Quota, deal size, renewal rate: results come with numbers. The headhunter checks them before introducing anyone to you.
the roles
the SaaS roles our headhunters go after for you
From your first sales team to a scale-up organisation, each role goes to a headhunter who knows that job in software.
SDRs and BDRs
They book meetings for the sales team. Doctrine and Trustpair hired their business development representatives with Muzzo.
already hired in software
account executives
They run the sales cycle through to signature, from SMEs to key accounts. Trustpair and Doctrine hired theirs with us.
already hired in software
customer success managers
They drive adoption of the software and renewal of the contract. A role that weighs directly on recurring revenue.
already hired in software
sales engineers and pre-sales
They run the technical demo and answer buyers' security questions. Liferay and Trustpair hired this profile with Muzzo.
already hired in software
product managers and product designers
They decide what to build, and in what order. Libeo and Payfit hired their product people with us.
already hired in software
head of sales
They structure the sales team, set targets and hire the next salespeople. A role that opens when the founder can no longer sell everything alone.
already hired in software
product marketing and acquisition
They position the software and fill the SDRs' calendars. A profile that must understand the product as well as the market.
already hired in software
software engineers
Developers and engineering managers build the product you sell. Libeo, Partoo and CircleCI hired theirs with Muzzo.

the method
one headhunter per SaaS function, not one agency for everything
An SDR, a customer success manager and a product manager are not found in the same networks. The method starts from the function and your company's stage.
the brief starts from your stage and sales cycle
Deal size, cycle length, SME or key-account targets, the organisation already in place: these decide the profile far more than the job title.
a headhunter who specialises in the function
Among more than 2,500 selected headhunters, your role goes to those with the most hires in that field in software: sales, customer success, product or tech.
results checked, not promises
Quota achieved, portfolio renewed, feature shipped: the headhunter checks what the person actually delivered before introducing them.
hiring in SaaS
why use a SaaS recruitment agency?
A software company rarely hires just one profile. After a funding round it needs salespeople to close, customer success managers to keep customers and product managers to decide what to build. These jobs share neither the same networks nor the same criteria.
A SaaS recruitment agency knows these jobs in software: what a quota is worth given the deal size, what a renewal rate says about a customer success manager, and how to approach people already in post, the ones who never answer job ads.

which roles should you hire at each stage of your SaaS company?
Early on, the first salesperson often sells alone, without a playbook or a prospecting team. You need someone who has already signed a software product's first customers, not an account executive used to a fully mapped process.
As you grow, roles split: SDRs prospect, account executives close, customer success managers renew. Then come the head of sales, the sales engineer for key accounts and product marketing. Each stage calls for a different profile, and often a different headhunter.

is software publishing still hiring?
Urssaf data show a sector that has grown: application software publishing had 3,630 employing establishments at the end of 2025, and its headcount rose by 22% in five years.
Growth slowed sharply in 2025, with headcount almost flat over the year. Software companies therefore hire role by role, and each hire weighs more: in a five-person sales team, a wrong choice shows up in the quarter's numbers.
how do you assess a SaaS salesperson or customer success manager?
In software, results come with numbers. For an account executive: annual quota and attainment, average deal size, sales cycle length. For a customer success manager: portfolio managed, renewal rate, upsell.
The headhunter asks for these figures and cross-checks them with references before introducing anyone. They also check the context: selling well-known software to SMEs and opening a key-account market do not call for the same experience.
should you hire someone from another SaaS company?
Someone who has already sold, or driven adoption of, subscription software knows renewals, free trials and selling to several stakeholders. That saves time once they start.
It is not a must. A salesperson from consulting or a project manager from an IT services firm can succeed at a software company if they have already sold or delivered to demanding clients. The brief sets out what is essential and what can be learned.
your questions about hiring in SaaS
According to Apec, managerial salespeople in IT and other services, such as IT account managers, earn a median €55k gross a year including variable pay, and 80% earn between €44k and €73k (2025 edition). 51% have variable pay, with a median of €6,000. The level depends mostly on deal size and target customers.
According to Apec, managerial pre-sales and sales support staff, such as pre-sales engineers, earn a median €70k gross a year in IT companies, against €56k across all of them (2025 edition). The role calls for solid technical skills and confidence in front of a buying committee.
According to Urssaf, application software publishing had 74,127 private-sector employees at the end of 2025, 22% more than at the end of 2020 (60,701). Over 2025 alone, headcount stayed almost flat (73,893 at the end of 2024): the sector has grown over five years, but its growth has slowed.
Yes. After a funding round, several roles open at once: SDRs, account executives, a customer success manager, sometimes a head of sales. Each role goes to its own headhunter, a specialist in that job, and the searches run in parallel. You follow everything in one place.
Our IT recruitment agency page covers technical roles, from developers to CIOs, for every kind of employer. This page is for software publishers and SaaS companies, which also hire their sales, customer success and product teams, with criteria specific to subscription software.
